Bike Week UK 2021 dates

We are delighted to announce that Bike Week UK 2021 will be taking place on 30 May – 5 June 2021.

This year, Bike Week UK is bringing you some exciting new routes (more being added all the time so keep checking our page), family fun, virtual challenges and more so you can take your cycling to the next level. Can you think of a better way to reunite with family and friends in the outdoors than through a celebration of cycling?

The theme of Bike Week UK this year is health and wellbeing and we’ll be showing how together we can make the world a healthier, greener and happier place because more people cycle.

Isis Stop’N’Stare Ride, 13 June 2017

Thanks to all the organisers, ride leaders and sweepers and riders who took part in Oxford Bike Week – we hope that you all enjoyed the events and rides! We had a great turn out for all of our rides, many with 20+ cyclists including our Solstice ride at 5.45am which had 20 cyclists including two children! Be sure to check out our photos page for wonderful photographs from the rides!

Also, a big thank to all who supported Oxford Bike Week including (but not limited to!):

If you are interested in getting out and about on your bike a bit more, you might be interested in Isis Cyclists, a women-only cycling group of Oxford Cycling UK. Both organise rides of varying lengths over weekends. And if you’re interesting in going a little faster, be sure to check out the Cowley Road Condors, Oxford’s friendliest road cycling group!

If you are also interested in promoting cycling in Oxford, or helping maintain the National Cycle Network routes in Oxford (5, 51 & 57) please consider joining or volunteering with Sustrans or Oxford’s local cycle advocacy group Cyclox.

Oxford Bike Week 2017: 10-18 June 2017

Bike Week 2017

Oxford Bike Week 2017 will take place on 10-18 June 2017 and, as part of Bike Week (UK), is an annual opportunity to promote cycling, and show how cycling can easily be part of everyday life by encouraging ‘everyday cycling for everyone’.

Demonstrating the social, health and environmental benefits of cycling, the week aims to get people to give cycling a go all over the UK, whether this be for fun, as a means of getting around to work or school, the local shops or just to visit friends.
