Don’t delay check out the rides & events today!
Bike Week 2013 will be happening from Saturday 2013 until Sunday 23rd June.
This year there will be even more rides and events happening than ever before, offering everyone a great reason to dust down your bike saddle and go for a ride!
This website will soon be updated with a full list of the rides and events happening during the week
It’s almost the end of Bike Week but there’s still time to get out on one last ride. Sunday’s ride (24 June) will leave from Broad Street at 9:30 am, with a gentle meander to Millets Farm for coffee and cake. The total length (including the ride back to Oxford) will be 22 miles, easily doable by most people. Anyone who’s keen can join the optional extension to Bampton for lunch before returning to Oxford, for a total distance of 42 miles.
Alternatively if you fancy an off road MTB ride Walton Street Cycles are holding a demo day at Aston Hill. See the rides page for details.
Unfortunately the Slow and friendly Oxford city ride on the 22nd June has had to be cancelled. If you know anyone who was planning to join the ride please let them know.
Oxford Bike Week starts today with a launch event in Broad Street. Thames Valley Police will be offering free bike tagging and registration, in addition to general security advice. There will also be reminders about the events happening this week including rides for young, old, new and experienced cyclists.
